Metago Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd, (MES), adds to the diversity of services already offered within the Metago group of Companies, which to date has a well established reputation in the fields of mining and industrial waste engineering, legal process work (EIAs and EMPRs) and health, safety, environmental and quality risk management systems. MES has been fortunate in securing black professionals in employment positions. Despite competition from other industries, this has been achieved through Metago Environmental Engineer's (Pty) Ltd close association with leading academic institutions and its strong commitment to providing bursaries and vacation work to deserving students. As of present, five out of seven employees are HDI and one out of seven employees is female. MES is a BBBEE accredited organisation and is a Level 2 contributor according to the BBBEE scorecard.
MES offers consulting services focussed on service delivery in Water and Wastewater Treatment and Solid Waste Management, specifically:
- Design of upgrades of municipal, industrial and mining water treatment facilities.
- Design of new water and waste water treatment plants
- Integrated water management plans and water pollution control plans.
- Bankable feasibility studies for new water supply and treatment facilities.
- River basin pollution control and catchment management studies
- Research projects associated with water, waste water and solid waste in the fields of mining, municipal and industrial treatment technologies.
- Empowerment of Water services providers, planners and water purveyors to improve their proficiencies and skill capabilities through courses.
- Construction and project management.
- Independent Engineering Review of Water and waste management projects for government organisations and funding organisations.
- Integrated waste management plans to optimise waste collection, recycling and recovery and disposal of wastes.
- Landfill design.
- Integrated Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Planning.
- Integrated risk management system implementation.
